It just jumped into my cart! What can I say? The Klein Precision Ratchet and Driver had a bunch of tools that looked really useful and the Mod Box looked well designed. It took a lot of will power not to buy them all. So in this video I tested the bits on my G-Shocks to see if it would be useful as a mobile repair kit.
The hex bits fit into the bolts that held the strap onto my G-Shock Rangeman GPR-H1000. The Philips drive fit into the screws that held on the back plate of the G-Shocks. And the specialty bits for Janitors also worked off label to help me pry back the lug pins. That may not be advisable. But it worked.
The usefulness of the Klein tool set goes beyond G-Shock repairs. This kit can be used to fix a lot of consumer electronics. Obviously this set would be incredibly useful for a technician or electrician because that’s who Klein Tools makes their sets for!
