Despite me wearing the ProTrek PRJB001B-2 for several days and finding many good things about it, there are some guys who insist it’s not a ProTrek. Why?!
Because this ani-digi watch does not have the Altimeter, Barometer, and Compass like most ProTreks have.
Okay, but this outdoors watch has an innovative bungie cord band that can strap to your wrist over your jacket. That’s useful when hiking or climbing when you’re wearing bulky clothes and gloves.
Without the ABC sensors, this watch is lighter than other ProTreks. That small difference makes a big impact when shaving every ounce of weight from your equipment for backpacking.
So it is a good watch for the outdoors, but if we can’t call it a ProTrek what can we call it?
I suggested Trek. It’s not a ProTrek watch because it’s not Pro, just Trek.
Anyways the bungie cord band is actually comfortable. I thought it might be scratchy or snappy or uncomfortable. Nope. It’s light and cozy. I don’t even notice it.
Also, the lume is much better than my other Casio watches. Take a look for yourself in the video below!
