The Casio Ring watch is going for GOLD!
Great G-Shock World, the Japanese blog, spilled the beans on this one. Well, spilled the natto to be precise. He reported that Casio will offer it’s ring watch in a gold color, which will be model CRW-001-GD-9.
The screen on this one is negative. You know our policy here on negative LCD screens. We don’t like ’em! At least the ones that are hard to read. So there are some exception to this policy. But looking at the leaked photo, this ring watch may have a difficult to read negative LCD.

The whole appearance of the Gold Casio ring watch is reminiscent of the G-Shock GMW-B5000GD, as Great G-Shock World points out. Just remember that this isn’t a G-Shock ring watch. It’s a Casio ring watch. So like the silver ring watch, it will most likely be available on the Casio website, not the G-Shock website.
Speaking of the silver Casio Ring Watch, read my coverage of its release. The thing sold out IN MINUTES! They said it would drop in the United States on December 26. They didn’t say what time. Despite that, it went quick.
The gold ring watch does not have a release date yet.
But if you’re jonesing for that G-Shock metal you can get it for your wrist. Go ahead and buy The GMW-B5000GD by clicking on my affiliate link. Then when the gold ring watch comes out, your finger will match your wrist. How cool would that be?
