G-Shock Measuring Madness: Battle of the Bulging Bands

Jim Kinkade whipped out the tape measure to size up the dimensions of various G-Shock watches. In focus was the flat portion of the watch back and how far out the band bowed. This discussion began on a previous video about the GD-010. A commenter asked for precise measurements. So Jim delivered.

While the lug to lug distance is about the same on most G-Shock watches, some of them seem much bigger than others. This is due to the watch body’s thickness and how much distance there is on the flat part of the watch’s back. So of course we had to measure that!

The GD-010 seemed to bow out further than other G-Shock offerings. This was confirmed with the tape measure. And by the way, the tape measure had the same DeWalt color scheme as the two Rangemans in the collection.
